CONTROL+ALT+DELETE
Have you ever had to reboot your computer after the hard drive froze? You hit Control+Alt+Delete to get things running again. Well your human computer, or Nerve System, works in a similar way.

Your Nerve System (consisting of the brain, brain stem, spinal cord and nerves) is vulnerable to daily living. It picks up unsolicited stress (like spyware or a virus) which causes your body to slow down, run sluggish and at times "freeze up".

Getting an adjustment is like hitting Control+Alt+Delete. It clears your Nerves of unwanted stress and reboots your human computer so it can run like new again. This translates into more energy, better sleep and improved physical function in your daily life and internal organ systems.

When you feel like you're running at less than 100%, a simple reboot could solve the problem. And thats why an adjustment can work miracles!

What you don’t want to hear - a short story.

It was sometime around 1997 and I had been in practice for about 7 years. A man I had helped decided to bring his teenage son in to see me. The son was a football player. Football was his life, his passion, and I’m certain he had aspirations of playing through high school, into college, and beyond if he could. And Dad was PROUD! This was Texas after all!

So the son had been dealing with some pain in his upper back that had gotten to be quite irritating. Dad brought him in so I could fix him up. I did a couple of X-ray pictures on him in the area of concern.

And I found something I didn’t want to find. This young teenager had a compression fracture in one of his upper back vertebrae. What is that? Well, think of a real thick sandwich that you have to squish a bit flatter with your hand in order to get it in your mouth and eat it. That’s kind of what had happened to the front part of that particular bone in his upper back.

How long had it been there? No way to tell for sure. Would it get worse? Hard to say. Should he be cautious because of it? Of course.

I had to tell him and his father something that kind of broke my heart to have to say, something that could shatter both of their dreams. And that was this.

It was my advice that he shouldn’t continue playing football, taking the kind of intense hits to his body and the compression that could possibly make that fractured bone worse.

I adjusted him a few times and he felt some relief. (With a broken bone? Sure, I’m a lot gentler than being hit by a football player.) But after a few visits I never got to see them again. Maybe they didn’t want to tell me he was still playing. Maybe they went for a more “favorable” second opinion. I don’t know.

The point is, sometimes I have to tell people what they don’t want to hear. But I’m obligated to do so anyway.

“I need to come in 3 times a week for a month or two to fix my problem?” “I need to come in monthly or I’ll lose my improvement?” “My kids should be adjusted?”

Yes, yes, and yes. I didn’t make it up. I’ve carefully watched and observed what happens to people as they make various choices and the results they get, or don’t, from those choices. So I make my recommendations with the confidence of experience, and the objective testing to show it.

And the facts are this. Most of you reading this brush your teeth 2 to 3 times daily, and feel kind of weird if you don’t. Well, getting chiropractic adjustments is about 100 X more important for your health, livelihood, function and longevity than brushing your teeth. It’s just a fact. For 20 years I’ve watched the difference in the health of those who just get adjusted when the pain is bad, and those that get adjusted somewhere between weekly to monthly. There is a HUGE difference in the life and vitality of those groups. And there are a variety of blood / chemistry studies to back it up.

My recommendations to you are always based on what can be done to help you achieve and maintain your best health, vitality and wellness. Been more than a month since you were adjusted? That’s simply too long. You are accumulating new problems and old ones are deteriorating further. Think of what would happen to your teeth if you treated them the same way.

Call me and come in to get your next adjustment. I’m always here to help. I try to encourage you to achieve your best without making you feel bad if you make a decision that’s less than “optimum”.

"Mommy loves going to the Chiropractor"
Ever since she's started, we've seen a huge change in her. She used to get Migraines every day, but now she rarely gets them. Daddy notices that Mommy sleeps through the night more often now and she wakes up in a much happier mood. She's even doing more around the house and spending more time with us reading, playing and just being a great mom.

We never see her popping those pills anymore.

Mommy told us when she goes to the Chiropractor they check her for something called a Subluxation... that's what's been making her sick all these years. They check her spine to see if she needs to get worked on. When she's
CLEAR she doesn't, but when she's not CLEAR they do something called an Adjustment to fix her.

Mommy's been
CLEAR for months now and it's the

healthiest she's been in a long time. We're all so happy for her and we love having our Mommy back.

But we have one question...

With Mommy doing so well, we wonder if going to the Chiropractor could help us too. Daddy's always sore after work and he has to take more and more medicine for his high blood pressure. My sister has to take an inhaler everyday for her asthma and I hate having to take stuff for my allergies and ear infections. We all want to be healthy like Mommy but we don't know where else to turn.

Maybe the Chiropractor can help us too, if Mommy would only bring us to get checked...”

Don’t your loved ones deserve to live Subluxation Free too? It’s our duty and pleasure to “check” them for potential health problems before they become big ones.

Chiropractic forecast: "Clear" days ahead ...
How many times have you gotten up from the table after an adjustment and felt more awake, or "clear", like a fog just lifted? Happens to millions every day in chiropractic offices. That instant alert feeling you experience is a very powerful physiologic effect commonly felt after a chiropractic adjustment. It's like a fog's been lifted from your nerve system, clearing the way for better function and healing. Including your mental clarity, mood, behavior and emotions.

The next time you "come out of a fog" after your adjustment, ask yourself, how many police officers, teachers and nurses are walking around in a fog because they've NEVER been adjusted before? Do you ever wonder if the school bus driver that just took your kids to school might be driving in a fog because they've never been told the benefits of a "clearing" chiropractic adjustment? What about the fireman? Heavy equipment operator? Your neighbor? The driver on the freeway just next to you?

It's important for EVERYONE to be checked and cleared of Subluxations so they can live their best lives. And the first ones on your list should be your loved ones, including your children.

Clearing the fog from a sick population is the real mission of ChiropracTIC. In fact, the TIC could stand for Teach Innate Chiropractic. Innate means inborn. And that means that the real result of Chiropractic is to release the natural and inborn healing ability that is in everyone. You can help our mission by teaching others that it's not about popping backs or necks, it's about how much better their lives could be if they were "clear" too.

Imagine what a healthier and safer world you would live in.

Republicans Vs. Democrats? Hardly.
I feel it is unfortunate that people feel the health care bill is one of Democrats Vs. Republicans. I couldn't see that as being farther from the truth. After all, there were Democrats who voted against this health bill, and Republicans who voted for some other versions.

First of all, it is possible I would benefit financially as a chiropractor from some of the implementation that may occur. But as an individual, I see this as a basic interpretation of what our constitution allows the federal component of our governing bodies to do or not to do.

What is a right and what is not a right. If it were really about what people need, then food and shelter would be far higher on the list than "health" (drugs & surgery) care.

But the constitution does not "entitle" us to the consumption of anything. Nor does it mandate that anyone must provide a product or service to any other individual. Nor does it mandate that all citizens must purchase any product or service. We are only entitled to "the pursuit" of what we desire.

The real question here is: What is the role of government?
